Maintenance Watch Center

The Maintenance Watch Centre is a section under Maintenance Control that is responsible for:

• The co-ordination and control of continuing defects such as MEL Items, Hold Items and Repetitive Defects which may arise during the daily airline operation as reported in the Aircraft Technical Log. The Maintenance Watch Centre ensures that MEL/CDL restricted items are tracked and corrected within the required time intervals.
• Notifying the Executive Manager Maintenance Control of these defects on a daily basis so that planning action can be taken.
• Overall technical co-ordination and technical support between Line Maintenance and Flight Operations.
