SUB LOAD TRAVEL DURING PEAK PERIOD

NOTICE REGARDING SUB LOAD TRAVEL DURING PEAK PERIOD

It has been noticed that staff holding  sub-load/concessional tickets are queing up at the check-in counter at the airport in and amongst the full fare paying travelling public in the hope to get a seat and travel.

A General Staff Circular was put out recently dated 23 November, 2016 advising all staff that all rebate/concessional travel during the peak period will STRICTLY be on SUBLOAD/SPACE AVAILABLE basis. This means that passengers travelling on full fare will always be given priority over staff travelling on rebate/concessional tickets. In the same circular notice it was stated also that staffs who wish to travel on firm seat MUST purchase full fare tickets.

Under no circumstances will staff on sub-load/concessional tickets be allowed to travel resulting in denial of travel to our full fare paying customers. Staff are also advised not to que up with the full fare passengers at check-in until all the full fare passengers have been attended to.

Staffs are strongly advised to check flight loadings with reservations or sales offices before coming to the airport. If you are advised that the flights are fully booked, please do not come to the airport.  At this time of the year the demand from the travelling public is very high.

I also advise that request by staff for the “jump seat” will not be considered. The “jump seat” is strictly for operational reasons. Accordingly, please do not request for the “jump seat.” Recently have be cases of staff requesting for “jump seat” at the check-in counter. This is not correct and staff are strongly advised to refrain from doing so.

Thank you.
