                                                                                                      REGIONAL MANAGER -DOMESTIC AIRPORTS

Suitably qualified staffs are encouraged to apply for the vacant position of Regional Manager, Domestic Airports Role. This position reports directly to Executive Manager Domestic Airports and is responsible for control of regional ground handling operations and the coordination of operational quality, safety and security requirements.

Ensuring smooth operation of domestic regional airports as well as support market growth activities with emphasis on performance standards.

Primary Accountabilities

üEnsure respective ports are in adherence to appropriate regulatory requirements, company standards and procedures.

üReview Audit Findings and Operational Occurrences trend and recommend appropriate supportive action to minimize operational risk.

üInvestigate operational incidents including flight delays and assist recommend practical corrective actions.

üParticipate in risk assessment whenever necessary and provide recommendations to mitigate risk factors within mandated ports.

ü Manage operational changes in a manner that ensures safety of ground handling operations.

üReview regional Key Performance Indicators periodically and address performance gaps focused on meeting required standard.

üSchedule and conduct regional Port inspections covering all areas of operation.

üCoordinate submission of monthly reports from respective ports.

üCollate, analyze and present monthly regional reports and quarterly operational summary trend analysis.

üEvaluate and strategically plan operations to be cost-effective.

üReview monthly regional budget cost report focused on cost control.

üPromote Customer Service and On-Time Performance as a critical success factor

üPlan, organize, coordinate and support multiple regional teams on a daily basis.

üIdentify and mentor regional team leaders to meet company standards.

üSeek new and potential business opportunities within the regional and ensure opportunity is secured.

üBuild, nurture and secure long-term relationships with key customers

üView customer complaints and ensures timely feedback, Log statics for monthly reporting.

üRepresent respective region in appropriate operational meetings.

üDeputies for Executive Manager in his absence

  Qualifications, Skills / experience required

ü  Tertiary Qualification, preferably Bachelor’s Degree.

ü  Minimum five (5) years’ Port Management experience in out ports.

ü  Leadership capable with the ability to develop teams and motivate staff to excel

ü  Highly analytical with the ability to compile and present statistical reports.

ü  Strong written and verbal communication skills.

ü  Competent in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook usage.

ü  Fair knowledge on appropriate PNG Civil Aviation Rules and Industry Standards.

ü   Good understanding of the operations and regional business being represented

ü  Knowledgeable in Aviation Quality, Safety and Security

ü  Mature with above average leadership skills/work ethics.

ü  Exceptional communicator with some industry experience in negotiating.

ü  Be able to work under pressure.

ü  Strong interpersonal skills.

ü  Strong leadership and analytical skills.

ü  Results driven/ Self-starter with minimum supervision.

ü  Port/Station Management

ü  Proven ability to work independently and take initiative to identify issues and resolve within available resources.

ü  Managing teams and planning projects within reasonable time scales

ü  Knowledge in Resources Planning and Budgeting
